Who We Are
AERS is one of Canada’s first majority Indigenous-owned, national providers of independent risk management, emergency response, and disaster planning for Indigenous communities.
Established by Aboriginal Insurance Services (AIS), AERS was created to change the way insurance and emergency recovery works on-reserve.
We work directly with Nations to handle claims, disaster planning, and restoration, while ensuring that local contractors and suppliers are prioritized—keeping jobs and wealth within the community.
Our programs combine traditional Indigenous knowledge with modern risk management tools, so communities can thrive with safety, confidence, and economic resilience.
